If you choose the SMPTE 2022-6 Input type, two sets of fields are provided for use with 2022-7 compliant sources. You must specify different interfaces for the primary and secondary locations.

As of version 2.17.3, AWS Elemental Live includes a new input type called SMPTE 2022-7 Network Input. Selecting this input type provides two Network Location Stream fields to complete. These can specify the network location, interface, and IGMP source. Note that only RTP sources are supported, and the two sources must be binary identical in order for the 2022-7 seamless protection switching to work correctly.
Setting up 2022-7 outputs is simple in AWS Elemental Live, as the mechanism for doing so has long been a part of the product. Each TS output in AWS Elemental Live provides for two destinations. Both destinations will receive binary-identical streams. By configuring the output with the two destination URIs of the 2022-7 compliant destination, you have created the required output.
SMPTE 2022-7 seamless protection switching is supported across a wide range of input and output protocols in AWS Elemental Live. You can leverage this capability to increase the reliability and resiliency of your IP-based workflows to either intermittent or longer-term network issues while still being able to use low-latency protocols, which often have limited error-correction capabilities.
Compared to SDI and SMPTE 2022-6, which was simply mapping SDI onto IP, the big news is that SMPTE 2110 breaks apart audio, video and ancillary data into separate elementary streams. This is done to provide flexibility, allowing you to route and work on different streams independently. Having said that, ST 2110 also describes how to carry SDI (i.e. SMPTE 2022-6) as is when that makes more sense.
Besides the RTP wrapper, another new thing about how uncompressed video is carried is that only the active part of the image, i.e. the pixels actually used, is sent. Compared to SDI and SMPTE 2022-6 this leads to bandwidth savings in the range of 15-30%.
BBG-SDI-TO-IP-10GE-2022 can be configured using the device DIP switches or by using an intuitive GUI application that communicates with BBG-SDI-TO-IP-10GE over a PC's USB port. The GUI app allows dynamic configuration control, status display, and other advanced control functions not commonly found on "throwdown" packages. When configured using the GUI app, the USB connection can be removed with all settings held in non-volatile device memory.
An extended version of SMPTE Color Bars signal, developed by the Japanese Association of Radio Industry and Businesses as ARIB STD-B28 and standardized as SMPTE RP 219:2002[15] (High-Definition, Standard-Definition Compatible Color Bar Signal) was introduced to test HDTV signal with an aspect ratio of 16:9 that can be down converted to a SDTV color bar signal with an aspect ratio of either 4:3 or 16:9. The Color Bar signal is generated with unconventionally slow rise and fall time value to facilitate video level control and monitor color adjustments of HDTV and SDTV equipment. Digital test images generated following the SMPTE RP 219:2002 specifications and adapted to perfectly fit 114 standard and non-standard resolutions for both 16bpp and 8bpp, are freely available in the COLOR dataset of the TESTIMAGES archive.[16] Later RP 219:2002 became RP 219-1:2014 and then RP 219-2:2016 was added for UHD (and ARIB STD-B66). Then ITU-R Rec. BT.2111 was done with PQ and HLG HDR transfer functions (like ARIB STD-B72[28]).
PlayBox Technology CloudAir is a complete system for managing of playout via IP over the public cloud. It is available as a subscriber service, freeing users from capital commitments and hardware depreciation costs. CloudAir is scalable from single-channel up to multi-channel of any required size. It offers mobility in terms of access, reliability, IP-based workflows and linear or non-linear distribution. CloudAir can be used standalone or integrated with Neo to provide a powerful combination of on-site hardware and remote resources. Among new features are a transcoder capable of handling multiple file wrappers and formats including MPEG PS/TS, MXF, QT, AVI, MP4, GXF, MPG2, H.264, ProRes, DNX HD and MJPEG. Also being introduced are an enhanced graphics editor template preparation interface, improved playlist editing, advanced playlist export to EPGs and automated linking of stored assets. 2ff7e9595c
